Project overview
PTS was engaged by Rabobank to design the IT, AV, Security, Wi-Fi and Smart systems for its new London headquarters at 60 London Wall in the City of London.
Spanning 49,000 sq ft, the workplace was developed to reflect Rabobank’s culture while embedding sustainability, resilience and flexibility into its core. As a global financial services organisation, Rabobank required a future ready office environment capable of supporting client engagement, hybrid working and secure trading operations.
PTS delivered an integrated workplace technology strategy aligned with circular economy principles and long term operational value.
Vision
Rabobank’s ambition was to create a sustainable City of London headquarters that combined strong brand presence with practical performance. The new workplace needed to support multifunctional collaboration spaces, including large social areas that could transform into town hall environments for internal and client events.
A key priority was sustainability. Rabobank sought to maximise reuse of existing IT and AV assets from its previous estate, reducing waste while maintaining resilience and performance.
At the same time, the workplace required secure trading infrastructure and robust access control. The physical security strategy had to protect core operational areas while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment for clients.
Our Approach
PTS delivered a fully integrated smart building and workplace technology consultancy, covering IT infrastructure, AV systems, Wi-Fi design and physical security.
Through early scoping and briefing workshops, we worked closely with Rabobank’s IT and Facilities teams to define asset reuse opportunities and preferred ways of working. Cabinets, C-PDUs and fibre cabling from the previous office were repurposed to support a resilient IT backbone, particularly for traders with dedicated wired requirements.
Alongside this, PTS designed a Wi-Fi first environment for general staff, reducing unnecessary cabling and supporting a more flexible workplace model. This balanced approach delivered both sustainability and operational robustness.
The AV design focused on three flexible event and presentation spaces with architecturally integrated screens and audio systems. These areas support internal town halls, client presentations and collaborative breakout sessions. Meeting rooms and focus spaces were standardised around intuitive, familiar interfaces with integrated room booking, ensuring a consistent and streamlined user experience across the estate.
Smart occupancy sensors were deployed to provide anonymous data on space utilisation, enabling Rabobank to better understand workplace patterns and optimise performance over time.
For physical security consultancy, PTS developed a strategy aligned with base build entry and egress controls while prioritising protection of secure working areas. The solution ensures controlled access to operational zones, while allowing clients to be efficiently escorted to event and meeting spaces.
