Account Manager

PTS Consulting is actively seeking to hire an Account Manager to join our growing Sales team. You will be an enthusiastic Account Manager who will support the Senior Account Managers and wider commercial team on major bids to ensure timely completion ahead of submission dates. You will be responsible for the management and reporting of your own sales pipelines and report back on potential opportunities for Service Line development. It will be your responsibility to fully understand and qualify the details of the sales opportunities to enable you to perform your role.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Cross- and up-selling all three Service Lines into assigned PTS Consulting client base
  • Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities in assigned clients from various information sources including previous engagements and industry sector trends
  • Follow up Lead Generation opportunities
  • Accurately record and qualify each opportunity and submit into Epicor
  • Plan engagement strategies and contact plans to address senior business and IT personnel within the assigned accounts
  • Send requests to “Casting” for creation of Delivery team(s) to deliver the sales opportunities
  • Work with appointed lead Consultants and Service Line principals to develop Fee and Resourcing schedules
  • Create cogent and relevant proposals to address clients’ requirements
  • Sales opportunity progress and pipeline management
  • Providing monthly statistics for management reporting
  • Assisting with invoice checking and monthly billing instructions
  • Have input into Marketing collateral and Lead Generation campaigns
  • Support Senior Account Managers in opportunity progression where additional resource is required to complete bids / proposals against very tight deadlines

Previous experience essential for this role

  • Previous experience as a Sales Professional in a services orientated business
  • Used to working against and consistently achieving targets whilst working against very tight timeframes
  • Experienced in developing both existing accounts and opening up new accounts
  • Solid experience of the IT market and issues arising
  • A Consultative approach and good relationship builder with experience in both warm and cold calls
  • Excellent communication skills, client facing experience, telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task is an essential skill with excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must have ability to use own initiative and be resourceful
  • Must have good commercial awareness
  • Must be able to work within a team
